And I discovered another word that I don't use

from the main announcer David Croft,

and I realize is British, and I realize

there's a disconnect between Americans British

and the nomenclature that we use.

The language that we used.

But he actually used the word scuppered.

Scuppered?

He was talking about, I think it was Kevin Magnison and one of his laps he went off and into the dirt and so he obviously didn't get a good time

lap out of it. He said, oh, well his lap was scuppered and I thought, well there's a word that's

adding to the list of words I don't use. What's the official definition of Scupper?

Did you look it up?

I... it means it's no longer valid and you're looking it up.

I am looking it up, yes.

Meanwhile, I'm reading the list of words I don't used, including sweater, crippled, billfold, moist, flushable, and now scuppered.
