Summary

Today we're rounding out our Codex Four coverage with our final new Galactic Event (It's actually kinda old) Minor Factions! It's a super solid mode that I recommend whole heartedly to anyone who might be a little squeamish about these alternate game modes. It's not too much craziness and there is still plenty of room for classic Twilight Imperium strategy. My guest today is Jadiim Jedi who you might recognize from the Tournament 6 online Finals and the Portland Intergalactical finals from this year. and hosted by Matt and Hunter. Oh no, it missed out on all the super secret stuff that you just told me.

0:50.9

That's okay.

0:51.9

You know, I'm okay with it not having the secret stuff.

0:56.5

You know, people don't need to know about all of my secrets, you know.

1:00.4

Ooh. Yeah. Yeah. No, my secrets are not up for, you know, they're not for the audience. Okay.

1:06.8

They're definitely not scoreable. I'll tell you that much. No, yeah. I can't score them.

1:10.7

All right. I have no secrets to score. I feel, you know what? It's funny that you bring that up because I feel like the whole I can't score my secrets thing. It stuck around as a meme, but I actually feel like people kind of stop saying that. Have you noticed? Like, do you feel like that's kind of gone out of fashion? It's, it's definitely everyone just accepts it. And it's like, I just don't believe it anymore.

1:34.0

Yeah. And it's just been said so many times. Yeah, it just kind of wore out. It's welcome.

1:38.9

The other day, I was recording an episode that is in the future with Matt. So there's a Matt episode coming up, people.

1:45.8

But Matt was talking about, like, etiquette and how people play.

1:49.0

And it made me realize that, like, I actually think, for the most part, the way that people

1:55.9

are about Twilight Imperium has, like, in my eyes, like, improved and and and chilled out a lot. As far as like

2:04.3

people having like a generally good attitude about playing like quickly and courteously, like I actually

2:11.7

feel like people are doing really good. And you know, these intergalacticals that we've been hosting, there have been like very few

2:21.8

problems that have been communicated to me.

2:25.1

Almost none.

2:26.1

There's been like a little bit of something, but it was sort of like resolved by the table.

2:32.4

And I definitely have heard about some salt that has come out.

2:36.5

But I mean, I remember this game regularly taking like way too long to play.

2:43.8

And for the likelihood for salt to be much higher than I feel like it is now.
