Summary

I am excited to have Milana back on the podcast today as our guest. She was our summer intern in 2020, and she's back to talk with me today about #adulting. She was able to go through our Launch Program (a part of the Organize 365 Kids' Program) to give us feedback.

Today, we are talking about the Launching Life Skills Bundle - now available in the Organize 365 Shop! Launch is aimed at helping older kids and young adults from 16-25 transition from living at home with parents to launching into independence. The Launching Life Skills Bundle includes

  • The Videos from the Launch portion of the Kids' Program
  • A starter Sunday Basket® - just the 1.0 weekly folders
  • The Launch Binder - a simplified personal reference binder with slash pockets and printables covering green (money), red (medical), and blue (housing, cleaning, and wardrobe)

Lisa and Milana share how this course gives you everything you need to be an adult and teaches life skills for independent living. These are resources and references for 16-25 year olds to learn the skills of adult living including meal planning, cleaning, basic budgeting, paper management and reference information, and more!

If you have a young adult in your life you'd like to gift lessons in the skills of organization and empowerment towards becoming an adult, consider this complete system!

Today's mailbag comes to us from Karen dear Lisa and team. I began this journey on January 4th

0:06.4

and I finished on April 11th. I finished in 100 days. I am so excited!

The motivation for me was when you mentioned in a podcast that most people don't go past the kitchen in the bedroom area.

I have been listening to your podcast for about three years. First hearing it

0:23.7

I thought I would never pay that much money for an online course, but then I saved up the money,

0:28.4

purchased it, and I am very happy that I did. Before the 100 days, but over the past four years,

0:34.4

I have gone through my whole house at least twice. Doing this program, it was definitely a challenge,

0:40.3

and sometimes I could be a week behind and I would have to catch up. Lisa said to expect an

0:45.7

emergency to pop up, and of course she was right. I would never have thought that we would have

0:50.5

construction going on in our bathroom for a month. My takeaway? I have decluttered my closet with

0:56.8

two full garbage bags, even though previously had gone through my closet on my own three to four times.

Another thing I have learned from this is that I'm amazed by your method. I enjoy the plan your

1:09.9

zone day. In my kitchen, I put knives and a cutting board together. A cabinet that I used frequently

1:17.6

had my medicine and my nice glass bowls in it, and it was a complete mess, so I moved the medicine

1:23.9

into a cabinet that I never opened, and I added a lazy Susan life changing, and now my kitchen

1:30.3

cabinet is so neat and so are my medicines on that lazy Susan. Also through your program,

1:36.4

I have learned I enjoy having baskets and putting items in those baskets. Of course, I haven't gone

1:42.8

through all that, but I will be doing that next time during the organizing stage, but it has me

1:48.8

thinking and planning. Another thing I have learned is that I need routines in my life.

1:55.0

I'm also amazed that there are items on the list like gift wrapping, which I keep in my garage.

2:01.4

I like that you have thought of everything and that we need to declutter items that are batch

together. The other day, my son asked mom, where are the batteries? I had moved the batteries to an
