Happy Friday. I hope this bonus Friday episode finds you able to get out in your garden this weekend,

0:05.9

or if not, at least able to work on your garden planning a little bit more. For me, March is my

0:13.0

second busiest planting time of the year, with only the week after my last frost date being busier.

0:19.4

The reason is that with my average last frost date in early April,

0:23.1

all of my cool season crops that haven't yet been planted in the garden can go out, and more of my

0:29.7

warm season crops can be started indoors if necessary. Today I'm going to give you a list of

0:35.0

everything I'm planting in March, but don't worry if your

0:38.0

climate isn't exactly like mine. Since we're talking about the month before the average last frost

0:44.0

date, you can adjust the timing based on your frostate. I'll share more on that as we talk about

0:50.1

individual crops, but my goal is that by the end of this episode, you'll have a better

0:55.3

idea of what to plant in this month leading up to your last frost. Welcome to the Beginners

1:02.5

Garden podcast. If you're new here, I started my garden journey 12 years ago when I quit my

1:07.6

management job to become a stay-at-home mom, and I wanted to grow some of my own food

1:12.6

to help with the grocery bill. What started as a hobby of utility became a passion, and my life was

1:19.5

forever changed. Not only am I able to grow most of my own vegetables, herbs, and fruit that our family

1:26.2

eats, but now it's also a driving passion for

1:29.5

me to help others grow their own food as well. One reason that I'm able to grow so much of my

1:35.7

own food, most of it in raised beds, is because I'm diligent about planting crops at the right

1:42.2

time, and you're going to hear a lot about that today.

1:45.3

But if you want a step-by-step plan on how to make this work for you and your climate and in

1:51.1

your garden, my online garden planning course, Dream to Garden, is now open for February

1:56.7

enrollment, but just for a few more days. In just four modules in this video course, you'll go from
