0:31.4	Recently, like about a month ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
0:37.5	And I apologize if I'm saying the name of the city wrong. I was taught how to say it, but
0:43.5	I'm probably still getting it wrong. I apologize. Anyway, I got to go there with Timeout for Women.
0:48.7	It was our last stop on the tour and what an awesome experience that's been the last year
0:54.8	and a half to get to speak at Timeout for Women in what a beautiful way to wrap it up there
0:59.2	in Lancaster. So as many of you probably know, Lancaster is known as Amish Country.
1:06.5	There's a large population of Amish and Menonites who live there. And I had a little bit of time.
1:14.4	I flew in late Thursday night. The event was Friday evening and all day Saturday. And so I
1:18.4	had a little bit of time Friday during the day to go and explore Amish Country. And I wanted to go
1:24.2	see it. I wanted to go learn a little bit more about Amish culture and the Amish people.
1:29.8	And so I did. And my friend Michelle went with me and it was amazing. So we went to this tour of
1:39.2	this Amish farmhouse. There was this really sweet older gentleman who was our tour guide who
1:45.8	basically just taught us a little bit about the Amish people and what they believe and why they
1:51.5	lived their way that they do. And there was a lot of really interesting things that I learned there.
1:56.1	But one that stood out that I wanted to highlight today on the podcast is as many of you know,
2:01.6	Amish people do not use electricity or drive cars. And I never really knew the reason for that.
2:09.1	And according to our tour guide, a big part of the reason anyway is simplicity and slowness.
