Hi, this is John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor of several anthologies.

My latest anthologies are Brave New Worlds in the Way of the Wizard. I have a couple new anthologies. My latest anthologies are Brave New Worlds and The Way of the Wizard. I have a couple new anthologies coming out soon. The first in November is the Light Speed Year One anthology. Then in February I have Under the Moons of Mars, which is an anthology of Varsoom stories based on the work of Edgrice Burrows.

And then in March I have armored, which is an anthology of Power Armour stories.

And I'm David Bar curtly.

I'm the author of many short stories, including The Disciple,

about a student who studies Black Magic at a New England University.

The story originally appeared in Weird Tales magazine and will be appearing in November in the anthology New Kathulu, which collects some of the best love craftian fiction of the past decade.

And our guest today is Daniel H Wilson.

He's the author of the Pop Science books,

How to Survive a Robot Uprising, Where's My Jet Pack,

and the Mad Scientist Hall of Fame.

He's the resident roboticist for popular mechanics and was the host of the History Channel show The Works.

His first two novels, A Boy in His Bot, and Robopoculips, came out earlier this year,

and Robopoculips is currently being adapted for film with Stephen Spielberg slated to direct.

Okay, so first of all, just how did you get interested in robots and did reading science fiction play a role in that?
