Every year, the Wrestling Observer newsletter asks its readers to vote on the best and worst of wrestling in its annual awards.

The results of Most Outstanding Wrestler, Best Booker and Promotion of the Year in particular are always contentious,

stirring up all kinds of crazy debate online.

Particularly in the modern tribal landscape, Dave Meltzer dropping these awards, is akin to walking into a

room full of people with a hand grenade, pulling the pin and closing the door, just letting everybody

explode. But within these awards, my very good friends, is an oddity. An oddity so whiplash-inducing

its dubious winners veer from silly little things like pushing Nepo baby jobbers and making a guy

wear a Frankenstein mask to exploiting people passing away and literal human rights abuses.

I am of course talking about the most disgusting promotional tactic award and today we're
