Summary

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Katha Upanishad, one of India's most revered texts which is also a part of the Vedas. We are towards the end of the Upanishs actually.

We are on the second chapter.

There are two chapters in the second chapter and the final section of the second chapter.

Where the teacher, the teacher is none other than the Lord of Death, Yama.

And the student is the brilliant and amazing young man, young boy, Nachi Keta.

So Yama is wrapping up the teaching in this last section. He has told us the nature of the ultimate reality. What is the ultimate reality? Brahman. It is these two aspects,

pure existence, consciousness, bliss, which is our nature. We are unlimited being, unlimited,

limitless consciousness and limitless bliss. And also the same Satjidana and the Brahman,

which pervades everything, is the reality of this entire universe, is our own reality, we are that.

But that also is the god of this universe, the Saguna Brahman or Ishwala.

Same Satjidana and the Brahman, limited by Maya or empowered by Maya, becomes the god of this universe the creator, preserver, and destroyer of this universe.
