I'm not Sidoni, and this is the How to Buy a Home podcast. This is part two of writing your offer. And we've got a lot to cover. So let's jump

right in. Starting right off at the beginning,

I'm going to confuse you a little bit. You need two things when you're ready to put an offer on a

house, a positive mindset and some fear. I know that sounds weird, but listen, fear is an indicator

that you're on the right path. Life's about risk, and when you feel fear, often it means that you're

heading in the right direction because you're moving towards a chance for growth. Moving towards

a big change in your life. There's a quote from a great movie, Parenthood. The main characters,

they're facing a scary but exciting decision in their life having another child that they were not expecting.

Suddenly, grandma, who is really, really old and definitely not all there, she wanders into the room.

And she hears them arguing and then suddenly she says to them,

You know, when I was 19, grandpa took me on a roller coaster. Up, down, up, down.

Ooh, what a ride. I always wanted to go again. It was just so interesting to me that a ride could

make me feel so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled

altogether. Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing.

I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it. Okay, I'll be waiting in the car. Well, grandma leaves and

the couple starts to argue about the story, and he says, oh, great, great story, grandma,

thanks. I got the whole meaning of life from your awesome little roller coaster story. And of course, she's upset by that, and it really got to her.

And she says to him, well, I think your grandma's brilliant.

And then she storms off.
