Hello, my friends. Welcome back to a new episode of The Bad Broadcast. My name is Maddie.

And I will be your host this lovely morning. Happy Monday. Well, we are getting into round two of

bad dates because there's just an endless fountain of terrible dates. They truly are the gift

that keeps on giving dating is the worst. Dating is the worst. It really is. There's no other way

to put it. But before we do that, before we get into the horror of the stories today, we got to

talk about the Meghan Markle interview. And I should have just recorded later and done it in

last week's episode because I know it's been a week since it happened and people are like kind of

over it. But I haven't really voiced all of my thoughts. So I just am going to do that now.

And then we will get into bad dates. So first of all, why does anybody want to defend the royal family?

Just just on principle. Why do we want to defend the royal family? That is not very 1776 of you

to side with the British monarchy over an American woman. I don't I don't like the way that sounds.

But also it's been well known for years that they're like terrible people. Like they're all terrible

people. And honestly, the existence of a monarchy in 2021, like it's very antiquated. Did you like

that word? I heard it on the internet. It's very old school. And there's I don't know. It's weird.

Somebody explained it to me. I remember when we went to England a few years ago, we were talking

to our cab driver. And I asked him, I was like, do you guys like having a royal family? Like are you

into it? Or what? And he was like, well, they don't do a whole lot. They're more of a symbol. And I

heard somebody compare like the queen to like the American flag. You know, like you respected. And

it's like, it's a big part of everything. But it's not making any decisions. But it's like kind of

a sacred symbol. So he was like, yeah, I guess, but like we don't really need them. Like they don't

need a royal family. It's just it's just traditions. So they still have one. So during the
