In this segment, I'm going to discuss the disconnect between what the right claims are the

beliefs of the American public about taxes and what the American public really believes.

Not only the right, actually, but virtually every political pundit you see on the corporate

owned media will assert as the gospel truth that the American public opposes tax increases.

Not so.

The American public opposes tax increases on the working in middle class, but favors

tax increases on the wealthy.

And taxes on the wealthy actually are being increased on the state level across the nation.

Seeing what the American public thinks about tax increases, an Ipsos poll last month found

that quote, almost six of 10 people, 58 percent, say the system is unjust, a number that

is virtually unchanged from two decades ago.
