Hey everybody Rob Maower here and today we're talking about some of the newer details

0:10.7

coming out on model Y as well as of course the ongoing situation in the

0:15.0

macro environment. But we'll start off first with Model Y. As more owners are working through

0:20.2

the delivery process, some more details are emerging and one of those

0:23.6

details comes from the motor vehicle purchase agreement haven't really seen

0:27.2

this covered anywhere but I thought it was pretty interesting because in that

0:30.4

purchase agreement it actually breaks down the model Y by each of its options as in that

0:35.0

it actually breaks down the model Y by each of its options and that means it breaks it down all the way to the base price for a model Y,

0:38.5

which actually is not listed on Tesla's website right now

0:42.0

because they're not yet selling the standard range

0:43.7

vehicle until early 2021. So TMC member Roborets shared their purchase agreement

0:49.3

for their model Y and it breaks it down with base price starting at $41,000 and then layers in 19,990 for the long-range

0:58.5

all-wheel drive performance option and then on this specific one another $1,000 for the metallic paint.

1:04.0

Knowing that base price is $41,000 is pretty interesting in and of itself,

1:08.0

but I think it gets more interesting when you actually compare this to the model 3 purchase agreement and the pricing across the lineup.

1:14.9

For example, the model why performance begins at $61,000 versus the model three performance at $57,000 and

1:20.9

then the long-range dual motor all-wheel drive model why starts at 53,000.00. The long-range dual-motor all-wheel drive model Y starts at 53,000 versus

1:25.9

49,000 for the model 3. So in both cases there a $4,000 price difference, but then

1:31.2

when we think about this $41,000 base price for the model why that doesn't compare as easily.

1:36.0

When we look at the motor vehicle purchase agreements for model 3 and this is a

1:40.0

recent one from just a couple of months ago. We find that same structure but on the

1:43.9

model three they list the base price as the $35,000 standard range model three
