0:37.2	marriage and the family. But I'd like to, if it's not totally disjointed with the sequence of your
0:44.4	story, I'd like to kind of shift a bit and talk about, you know, coming out to your family, what
0:53.2	what the family environment was like. I know, you know, your dad was like a, you know,
1:00.2	high-star high school quarterback. I'm not sure if your mom was athletic or not. I know that
1:06.4	you had at least a brother to the played college basketball. So my guess is that masculinity is
1:13.6	sort of maybe a part of your family and in some way traditional masculinity. And then there's
1:20.3	the heavy church element. So tell me if it's a good time to talk about, you know, what it was
1:26.8	like for you to think about contemplate coming out and then how that actually happened and then
1:31.5	how people reacted or if there are other important parts of the story, you need to tell first.
1:36.9	Sure. No, no other important parts of the story to tell. So Jeff and I had been together
1:44.1	a year, how did this work? So it was June of 1991 when we started this summer institute and
1:56.0	he left for Houston in August. So we continued to see each other through that fall and one of
2:03.9	the things that happened was that Christmas break just from New York and his dad lived, lived at
2:12.6	the time on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. And so he was going to go spend part of the break with
2:18.9	his dad in New York City. And I was going to spend part of the break with my family in Utah,
2:24.6	but then I planned to go to visit Jeff in New York. And at the time, I didn't think that was
2:32.8	a not thing to do. I thought, you know, wow, you're going to go spend part of a vacation in New
