And today, we are discussing, I mean, I've been off for a few weeks, and it's because

I've been building up to this one. Something really important.

Who are we doing, Will?

We're talking about director, writer, Edward Burns.

But before we get to that, Justin, you have been away from the podcast for a few weeks,

caring for your newborn child.

That's right.

How are things going?

Good. The little kid looks like curly because he's bald with a little bit of hair. So just today, I've been making him go like, whoo, woo, bo, bo, bo, bo, bo. Oh, man. Soon he'll be a mo and I'll have lost all of my hair, and I will be the curly, the one who will be heaped abuse upon myself. That's the circle of life, isn't it? But anyway, we are talking

about Edward Burns, not to be confused with Edward Burns, the Brothers McMullen filmmaker of the

90s. Oh, people are turning it off right now, being like, we wanted more Brothers McMullen talk.

And this is easily, I think, the stupidest idea I've ever had for an episode. It seemed

like a good idea at the time. That's all I can say. Now, did you approach it because we've discussed

before of doing an episode on a Three Stooges director? That there's interest there. Is there a

personality, a point of view of, like,

each director that were behind some of the most popular three studio shorts? I think what it was for

me was last week I was thinking so much about Richard Fleischer that I was kind of getting

in a journeyman frame of mind. I mean, Richard Fleischer is like A plus the best of the best when it comes to those things.
