All right, here we go. Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast Friday, January 16th, and you are in the studio.

I am joined this week by one of the more reasonable voices, a very well-spoken individual, very thoughtful, my good friend,

1:17.4

Jake Hofer from the White Tail podcast. Jake and I have had a friendship and a business relationship

1:24.6

together for going on a decade now, And I've just always respected and appreciated

1:29.7

Jake. I think he's just a really well thought out, balanced guy. And I wanted to have him on to

1:36.3

talk about the current culture and trends in whitetail deer hunting throughout the country in the different states, age demographic-wise,

1:48.8

One thing I want to say to our direct listening audience, our community, the people that tune in week out, week in, week

2:51.9

out for the show and the people that follow along and engage with us on social media, just

2:56.3

hands down the most respectable group of deer hunters that exist at least online.

3:05.2

The forums and the threads and the posts that I've spent any time diving into the comments and reading and seeing where the arguments go, people get nasty so quick.

3:16.4

It's the insecurity flourishes on social media.

3:23.5

Facebook seems to be the worst place.

3:27.3

And, you know, it's just, it's refreshing to me that I can post controversial things.

3:34.7

And really, I posted quite a bit this week.
