Welcome back to the Real Talk with Zubi podcast. Today we're going to be having another amazing conversation. Today's guest is Avital Schreiber Levy. She is a mom of five. She is the author of the book Reclaim Play. And she is also the host of the YouTube channel, High Fam. Welcome to the show, Avital. How you doing? Zubi, it's so good to be here. So I've done a brief intro there, but for my listeners, please introduce yourself.

Okay, thank you. So my mission is to help people create strong family cultures.

And part of the reason I think I was drawn to that work and my story through

life is that I'm the lucky recipient of a strong family culture. I'm the youngest of six and I grew up

in a traditional modern Orthodox Jewish household. I've lived on three different continents and I've

seen a lot of different cultural influence over family. And I also have a

background in design. So I think a lot about how to solve problems and how to create efficiencies

and how to create a smooth and beautiful and elegant living environment and how to apply design

thinking to relationships to society to our lives. And so yeah, that's what I do. I founded

Ha-Fam shortly after I became a mom. About 15 years ago I had my first child and a few

years in I became really obsessed learning everything I could about parenting and I

just started sharing what I was learning and trying to distill key points.

And I moved to America with my husband for his residency and fellowship.

And I saw a very, very different family culture than the one I was used to, first in the UK and then in Israel.

And that really spiked a lot of kind of cultural awareness and societal messages about parenting and marriage and motherhood and all of that good stuff.

So in a nutshell, that's my story.
