Now, this conversation with former NFL GM and current Sirius XM

NFL radio analyst Tom Telesco is tremendous, but this was the rare week where we taped on a Monday

because I had other production to do on Tuesday and Wednesday. In other words, an abundance of content

riches except the Ravens ripping the rug on the Raiders and backing out on that Max

Crosby deal happened after Tom and I had this conversation. So that's why we don't cover it here.

But the conversation is way too good not to share, which is what I'll do in a moment. In the meantime,

let me give you my take on the Ravens and the Raiders.

The only thing more shocking than the Ravens who never ever trade draft picks,

parting with two first round draft picks to get Max Crosby last Friday, was them ripping the rug

and then backing out of that deal. Come to find out, they really don't part with their draft picks,

do they? So exactly what

happened here. Is it dirty pool on the part of the Ravens or due diligence by a quality

organization not looking to make a big mistake? Did Crosby fail as physical as has been reported

or did the Ravens have second thoughts and just back it out of the deal altogether?

Fair to ask since, no sooner than they turned around on that deal, they went and they signed

top edge rusher, Trey Henrickson, do a huge deal. And of course, they had their treasuredraft
