Hey everybody. This is a deadly serious one for a change. I mean, we very often deal with extremely serious, deadly serious topics. And this is one of those. Today is about elections. Elections are conducted

in this country, and we couldn't be talking to two better guys. You all know Mark Elias.

Mark Elias was my election lawyer, Mark for years and years and years. He, of course, did my recount way back in 2009.

The first time I met Mark was for a training. When you're a candidate for the Senate,

a Democratic candidate, you go and get some training about election law and stuff. And Mark

conducted this. And he's really funny. And Mark conducted this.

And he's really funny.

And I made the mistake at the end of it saying to him,

you're really funny.

And oh my God, he just kept reminding me of that.

And has reminded me of that over the years.

And I thought I remembered it as saying, you're funny.

But he remembered it as you're very funny.

And he is, he's very funny, actually.

And so when we do these shows, when we do these podcasts with Mark, I always enjoy laughing with him, man, because he's funny.

And this one wasn't funny.

We, and also with him as Ari Berman.

He writes for Mother Jones and writes about election law

and is as knowledgeable about this as anybody in the country.

So these are the two best guys.
