second of our three part series on on the Salem Witch Trials, the story of how

a Puritan community in Salem, Massachusetts, became trapped in this moment of accusation and

confession and deadly punishment in the 1690s.

Last week we met the community of Salem, Massachusetts, and Sarah, you explained

how deeply divided they were, how their particular brand of Puritanism left that community

kind of vulnerable to ideas of the supernatural, but also prone to accusation, prone to division.
