I think what holds a lot of people back from inviting people over is you have this sense.

You don't want to have people in your house until it's perfect.

Yeah.

Because all we see is social media.

So you know what?

We need to wait until we paint the walls or we clean the house or we do whatever.

And listen, your neighbors have that same laundry basket full of unfolded clothes on their sofa too.

You know?

And you'll actually make them feel more at home if you just leave it there and say,

we're going to sit around the kitchen table and just break the ice.
