When I was a kid.

When I was a kid I had a friend named Paul who had it all. A big house where we play in his

G. I. Joe-themed bedroom replete with accessories like jeeps, tanks, helicopters and airplanes which of course hung from the ceiling.

In the summer there was a swimming pool, a tree house, a basketball net.

The winter a basement dedicated to mini hockey, complete with boards and ice-blue carpeting to make it easy on the knees and realistic to the eyes.

He had everything. New clothes, Reebok pumps, and Nike Air Max,

doting parents serving bowls of homemade caramel corn, pictures of iced

Kool-Aid while we played Nintendo.

As a result of finding Paul's life to be the kind of life I wished I was having, I found myself for some reason, behaving like Paul.

This happened a few times early on where I had an identity crisis and latched onto another kid's persona, mimicked their traits, which maybe doesn't sound too unusual for a kid until you hear the part where I stole his clothes and got

busted immediately because I wore them around him. Doesn't sound too strange until you hear that after seeing him come to school with a milk mustache and some mustard on his lip, I

came in the next day with the same look.

Before school, tilting a sip of cow juice to my upper lip than dumping the rest of the sink, using

my finger to apply an insane mustard mole.

It really was pathetic. This is not the first time on this podcast that I've given an example of how lucky I was as a child as a young man to not have crossed past with some of the characters we cover here. I'm just

thankful that I grew out of my odd behaviors, my troubling mindsets, and didn't

become one of the dark characters myself.

Forget becoming a victim on this episode my thoughts are that I'm thankful I didn't become a perpetrator. Because the kid I just described to you, Sans like the type that drives into the world sideways, swerving every

which way until the wheels fall off, the guardrail shatter, and his middle name suddenly becomes
