So we're going to steal the three up, three down thing that we do on those Sunday shows.

And use it in this episode, make it our own four up, four down from Friday is what we're calling it.

First, let's get into some big headlines from that slate of games on Friday. I guess the biggest news would have to be

Matt Mervis coming up with the Cubs debuting. I mean, I'm excited to see what this guy can do.

He kind of came out of nowhere, I feel like last year had that monstrous minor league

season, jumped between three different levels, showed a ton of power, and just kept,

kind of kept that rolling right through the beginning of this year with AAA Iowa and now gets his first chance with the Cubs.

Yeah, Mash Mervis is there calling him.

He was undrafted, but remember that was the 2020 draft, so there were only five rounds,

so we can't really.

I mean, he would have been drafted in a normal draft.

But yeah, we've had a lot of young pitchers come up recently, not as much from the hitting side, but Matt Mervis is definitely one of the better power prospects to come up.

Making his debut yesterday, he had a 111.1.1.2 mile per hour RBI single.

That was the hardest hit ball in yesterday's game against the Marlins.

As you mentioned, 962 OPS,

six home runs already at AAA Iowa before coming up.
