Hello and welcome back to practicing human the podcast where every day we're getting a little better at life.

I'm your host, Corey Muscarra. In today's episode we're going to talk about four tips to relax the tension in your body,

which is very important for processing and releasing accumulated stress,

First, let's settle in together

with the sound of the body. So in general, when it comes to tension in the body, people tend to fall into two camps.

There are those of us that know we have a lot of tension in the body and are trying to relax it and there are those of us

that have a lot of tension in our body but are completely clueless about it. Obviously

there are other buckets than that but this is what I tend to see there are a lot of us

that don't think we're holding tension in our body but it's often because we're

just not as attuned to our bodies and once we drop in we realize oh my gosh my shoulders are up to my ears or

there's a throbbing in my chest or I grip my hands without even realizing it or while I I'm working, I'm grinding my teeth.

There are all of these subtle ways that we accumulate tension in the body,

which accumulates stress over time and keeps the mind agitated as well since there's such a deep

relationship between the mind and the body. So here are four tips to work with this.
