Instead of our regular format, we have a bonus episode for you today.

To keep the Valentine's Day spirit alive, we're bringing you a short vignette of a couple

who's taken cooking together to the next level.

Katiana and John Hong are married.

They're both chefs and they run a restaurant together.

In fact, the restaurant Youngbun Society was one of our best new restaurants of 2022.

And here they are with their top four tips for cooking with a partner.

We have been cooking together since I want to say 2009 about 13 years.

My name is John Hong.

And I'm Katiana Hong and it's a Friday afternoon and we are here at Youngbun in the

Arts District of Los Angeles.

The work we do here at Youngbun is really kind of focused on not only both our respective

Korean-American upbringing but an expression of kind of modern Korean-American food culture.

You know, we're both Korean-Americans and we both have very different experiences growing

up.

So at Youngbun, it's kind of just a collaborative effort where we're cooking together and

we hope the food kind of reflects how different being Asian-American can be.

I think Youngbun is fun.

It's meant to be fun.

It's meant to be a little loud.
