0:54.8	Almost like a parenthesis, if you will, a powerful parenthesis between these biographical verses.
1:03.4	And I think that is because this is something that every generation has to get a hold of.
1:08.8	Let me read them to you.
1:10.0	Hebrews chapter number 11, beginning in verse number 13, says,
1:13.5	these all died in faith.
1:15.5	By the way, if you want to die in faith, live in faith.
1:18.9	You don't choose faith at the last moment.
1:22.2	No, you live by faith, and then you die in faith.
1:26.1	Not having received the promises. Now Now it's a reference to the promises
1:30.5	that God made to Abraham and Sarah. Remember, he promised them a land. He promised them family. He
1:38.6	promised them a nation and a kingdom. He made lots of promises to Abraham.
1:45.6	Well, they died before they saw the fulfillment of all of that.
1:50.4	So that's what it means when it says not having received the promises.
1:53.6	But having seen them afar off and were persuaded of them and embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
