We're back with another edition of four star politics.

And Dave, man, have we got issues in this country right now?

As we tape this program for uploading on the websites, we still really haven't gotten to the

bottom of this election, right? I mean, we're still working on that. Well, I think there's a

consensus about what's happening. But yeah, officially it's not cooked into the books

yet. And that's true in Kansas and Missouri and most of the states. And there are our controversies,

as we know in other parts of the country. Sure. But I think we're getting a good sense of maybe where

we're headed and we're going to talk about that. I think so too. And in fact, how fitting we say we have issues. We've got a guy that you and I know very well, a former colleague of ours here at Fox 4, just a few short years ago, who has big time issues. In fact, it's our friend Kevin Keatsman has issues, which I love. I love your new moniker, your new brand. Kevin, of course, the former

sports talker here in town, former Fox 4 sports dude back in the Action for a News Channel four days,

Kevin. And welcome to four-star politics. Tell us a little bit about your life post-radio,

this podcasting. One of the things I will say, and I'm not, I'm not just blowing smoke here.

I remember back in the days you'd come into the newsroom and throw a firebomb out, not about sports,

but about politics, and everybody'd be freaking out because, you know, here was this guy

throwing this stuff out. And I sort of fashioned you or loved what you were doing. Look at you

sort of a Bob Costas. You're good at sports, but you also can broaden your horizons and talk politics. Is this a kind of a dream come true for you to be doing what you're doing? It is. And thanks for having me on. I really appreciate it. It was an absolute pleasure and joy to work with you fellows all through those years. We had some great discussions back in the day. I think for me, what was so difficult when I was in TV news was I was a sports guy. So when I gave an opinion about something other than sports, you just get looked at kind of funny. You know, and I think the weather guy is the same way. You know, it's like, who's this weather guy talking about what's going on over at the fire department? You know, you don't want to hear it. I kind of understand that, but I didn't really realize very early on in television, you know, what the workplace was all about. I was, I've just always been an opinionated guy. I did sports talk in college. I got into TV sports, and there wasn't much of an avenue toward anything like that. So I just kind of, my release was always in the newsroom, man. It was just,

it was fun for me to discuss issues. And, and that's what I do now. I discuss pretty much, sports, politics and life is what we call it. So I can, I can literally talk about anything on this podcast. Okay, let's talk about first, we need Joe Lauria to join us so we can actually do a broadcast here, John, and you know, we could have news, weather, and sports.

Great to see you, Kevin. Well, let's talk, let's dive right in, talk politics a little bit. What do you think about the last week? What do you think the United States said on Election Day? And maybe particularly what it was saying in the Kansas and Missouri area, if you have a sense of that. Well, you know, I know we all talk about how divided we are. I think ultimately this election showed the entire world we are so divided we don't know how to run an election. And that's not, hey, you know, Trump should be president or anything like that. I'm not one of those people. I'm conservative. I'm not one of those people that's going to sit here and say Donald Trump won the election. I don't know that. What I know is it's absurd to take ballots for days and days after an election is closed because you've just mailed them out to people randomly who didn't request them and who knows where they came from and they're coming in. I don't think there's enough out there to overturn any election. I would not be brash enough to say that it looks like that. I think he's going to try any legal challenge that he can, and he probably should, just to see if something happened. I think almost any American would want a fair and legal election. I hope that what happens out of this, I think Joe Biden is going to be president. I don't think there's any question about that at this point. I hope what happens out of this. You guys know me well.
