What's going on everyone? Kevin from Epic Gardening here. Back with Maria from Bloom and Grow Radio and we're talking about low-light apartments.

So yesterday we talked about sunny window sills and what you can do on those

which is certainly quite a few things because you have a lot of the most important ingredient for

our plant which would be light but what if you don't What if you have a low light apartment and you're getting sad and emo because you think

that you can't grow any plants?

You definitely can grow some stuff and I'm going to let Maria come in.

She's got the DL. She has the plant DL and she's going to give it to us right now.

I'm going to give you the scoop. Yeah baby. I love it. Yes low- light is an issue with a lot of house plan parents, but there are certainly

plants that you can choose and some remedies that we can talk about today. So the first thing is understand that if you visually

think that your apartment is low light,

it's probably lower light than you think it is,

just because of how little how much we are adjusted to living indoors already and

how little light that actually is going to be for our plants. So if you don't have those bright sunny

window cells and you're not using grow lights you're going to want to really go with

the low-low-light tolerant plants. I want to say I want to give a shout out to my most favorite plant in the whole

world and a plant that I feel for and that's the snake plant otherwise

known as Sansaveria I think it's just the most beautiful plant. It's so cool and it is

so hard to kill if you don't overwater it. You can, meaning, you can, I have forgotten to water my snake plant for like a month and it just

still trucks along and it's super low light tolerant so I think if you have a

low light apartment that's like the perfect plant for you. The thing that

breaks my heart about the snake plant is it actually thrives in highlight but

because it can take low light a lot of people end up using it as a low light plant and it makes me sad
