0:12.0	This weekend the country saw it might be the largest one day protest of Trump's presidency
0:19.0	dating all the way back to the first little period of the first term,
0:25.3	possibly millions of people across 50 states and even internationally.
0:31.5	And the message was quite simple at most of the protests, some of them kind of being hijacked, but the protest message overall
0:40.2	was hands off, hands off our rights, hands off our institutions, hands off of our democracy,
0:48.3	and hands off as in get Elon Musk's hands off of the government.
0:53.6	And this was not only about Trump and Elon Musk's hands off of the government.
0:54.3	And this was not only about Trump and Elon Musk, who by the way now leads this Orwellian
1:01.5	doge, which in practice is going to be winding down, I guess, but at least Elon Musk is leaving,
1:09.2	but we don't really know.
1:10.5	But they've been slashing federal agencies, gutting public services and of course, concentrating
1:16.2	even more power in the hands of billionaires and even an unelected billionaire.
1:21.9	We've seen the deep agency cuts and we've seen the chaotic immigration raids also a target of these protests.
1:29.5	And we've seen attempts to roll back LGBTQ plus rights with a lot of focus on that T, trans
1:37.2	rights, harmful changes to social security, to Medicare, obvious attempts to gut Medicaid.
1:46.0	And then of course in the midst of all of this, the new global tariffs causing this
1:50.2	economic upheaval Thursday and Friday, two of the biggest consecutive stock market
1:57.1	decline days as I am taping today.
2:00.8	We have a Dow Jones industrial average that is down.
