I am guilty. And I am loved.

When we are falsely accused, we can often be tempted to defend ourselves or justify ourselves. This makes sense, since we want the truth to be known. But we must not fool ourselves into convincing ourselves that we are innocent. Christ came to save sinners. That means, if I am not a sinner—if I am not guilty—then Christ did not come to save me. But I am guilty...and He did come for me. And for you.

0:30.2	So when I was growing up, there were a number of TV shows or movies.
0:34.0	They were centered around the idea of this person who was, and the line was always this.
0:38.8	It was a, they were accused of a crime they did not commit.
0:41.4	So it was on the run, bases trying to clear his name.
0:43.8	And there's this cool show.
0:44.8	It's kind of like the fugitive, it was one of those examples of that movie.
0:47.2	And then, obviously, that being accused of something they didn't do, accused of a crime they
0:51.0	didn't commit, that obviously that happens in real life too.
0:54.0	We know sometimes there's incredible stories, but I say incredible, not also incredible,
0:58.0	just powerful stories of people who were falsely accused, even those who were falsely found
1:02.5	guilty who then did everything they could to clear their name.
1:05.2	And it's just those remarkable stories of the failure of the justice system at times.
1:08.3	But the idea behind this is we recognize that justice is good.
1:12.2	Justice is necessary, right?
1:13.3	If I've been falsely accused, I should fight to clear my name.
