I'm back in plenary session, virtual edition. I'm joined by Zeb Yamrojik. Dr. Yamrojik is a practicing physician.

He is a doctorate in ID Ethics, which you wouldn't think it turned out to be the most useful thing,

to have a doctorate in that discipline. He is a frequent guest of this show, friend of the show, and a beloved guest.

I mean, I think a lot of people watch you on this. And really, your framework and your

perspective has really resonated with a lot of people. Thank you so much for coming back on.

Thanks for now. It's great to be here again. I wish we didn't have to keep meeting under these

circumstances, but it appears we do.

There's a lot of big picture questions we're going to talk about.

Let's give listeners a little bit of a roadmap.

We're going to try to talk about censorship, misinformation, authoritarian public health, like what's going on right now in China, science in times of crisis,

some of the rules in Australia. But I thought a few specific examples might get the ball rolling

nicely. You follow the very interesting story of New York City and Kyrie Irving. This is apparently

a basketball player. I don't know if you saw this.

My understanding of the situation is that this is a gentleman who is, you know, 20-something-year-old, healthy NBA basketball player.

Some people tell me, but I haven't been able to confirm that he's had and recovered from COVID-19.

But whether that is or is not true, he's decided he didn't want to be vaccinated. So he joins that fraction of people who go that way.

Interestingly, New York City had a mandate, which is that if your primary place of employment

is New York City, you can't work in New York City unless you have been vaccinated. But other cities don't have that mandate and he's an NBA player.

So he's allowed to go to other cities and play NBA basketball.

But he can't play NBA basketball in his own city of New York City.

But interestingly, they recently lifted their vaccine passport rules and their mask mandates

so he can attend the very game he's not
