0:00.0	Today's planetary session is a special recording where I pool several of the monologues that I've been giving on the YouTube channel into a single audio file.

0:33.6	You can't test that. This video is about some things that people say you can't test.
0:38.3	Well, we have big news this week.
0:39.3	It's the Paxlivid primary prophylaxis study.
0:42.3	They take people who are exposed to someone in their household with COVID-19.
0:45.3	They randomize them to Paxlivet or no Paxlivet, and they ask,
0:48.3	does Paxlivid, the drug everyone's a buzz about, prevent you from getting COVID-19?
0:52.3	And the verdict is in, it doesn't work at all.
0:55.4	It doesn't prevent you from getting COVID-19. Pfizer announced that their shares took a bit of a dip.
1:00.4	This is the drug that the Biden administration has thrown a lot of money in. Of course, it does
1:04.3	has randomized trial data showing that it works, the Epic HR study. That's a study of unvaccinated
1:09.6	people with a high-risk factor for bad outcomes with COVID-19,
1:13.1	and they were randomized within five days of symptoms to Pax Lovit or not. And it has a 89% relative risk reduction.
1:19.9	That's the relative risk. The absolute risk is if you're in that group and you didn't take PaxLivid, you have about a 7% chance of hospitalization or death, and if you did take Pax Lid, it drops to 1%. That's Epic HR. We also know about Paxlivid that it failed in
1:32.7	the primary prophylaxis study, that it doesn't prevent you from getting SARS-Cove 2 if you encounter
1:37.2	somebody who has it. So it's a very interesting drug. Now, Todd Lee and I wrote an article for City Journal. I'm going to put a link below, and we talk about how, for the biggest population of people,
1:47.7	which is people who've either had and recovered from COVID-19 or they've been vaccinated,
1:51.9	and by the way, that's the vast, vast majority of Americans, do we have data on whether PaxLivit works?
