You're the only person ever to come across my desk here on Plenary Session.

And we're going to be talking about this book, Malignant. Malignant, yeah.

This is going to be a series of discussions and interviews about malignant. We are planning on doing

nine of them. We're going to talk about two chapters each time. If you are interested,

you could pick up a copy of the book or the audiobook, which I painstakingly narrated on this

old microphone with the use of many throat lozenges and drinking lots of water, which in an

original uncut version was accidentally released as the audiobook, leading to some objections.

There were some commentaries on Amazon, I think.

Yeah, they were unhappy. They didn't like to hear me greedily quenching my thirst.

I think it was really interesting to see how painful it can be to make an audiobook.

Oh, it's quite painful. Yes. Even if you've written the words, sometimes you trip over what you wanted to say, which is shocking. But here we are. Let's talk

about it. Malignant, how bad policy and bad evidence harm people with cancer. It's now almost two years

old. Wow, it came out in 2020. I was going to write malignant or I was going to write pandemic.

I think I chose wrong.
