Years ago, Richard Groisey used to pack up Patrick and the rest of the family to spend time with his buddy Jack Healy.

At his cabin on my Cedar Lake.

When Patrick speaks of Cedar Lake, he always recalls what a shallow, weedy lake it was.

While he was correct in that Healy's Bay is shallow and weedy, but the main basin off my house is 120 feet deep.

Our only danger is if we have an influx of invasive Pacific kelp.

However, the last many years after my sons grew and left home, the weeds have been encroaching on our beach and around our dock.

Aquacide pellets have been a lifesaver.

Wednesday was a placid and perfect day to do some broadcasting on my own.

The pellets, of course.

That simple task completed Terry and I and our C. Dog Tilley went for our first pontoon ride.

Our 47th opener on Cedar Lake and thanks to Aquacide, it was free of weeds.
