the Mets are going to wrap up their weird wraparound four-game series against the Nationals.

They have not played well over these four games. There's three games so far. A lot of

sloppiness. And at the beginning of the series, they were overcoming the

sloppiness. It wasn't a real big deal. And then yesterday, the Mets lost the game, and I don't

care what your record is, because the Mets have a great record. They're 19 and 9. They're one of the

best teams in baseball. I don't care what your record is. When you lose a game lead 7 to 1, going to the 7th inning, and you lose a game partially

because your billion

dollar right fielder can't find

a fly ball in the sun.

And then you fail with scoring

opportunities, and Jose Butu

blows up, and Ryan Static blows another

save, and Pete Alonzo, who I

adore, makes his first mistake of the year.

That's just a really bad loss.

Right.

It's an ugly one of those losses that you don't shake off immediately.

Well, you just remember it.

Yeah.
