Well, when the East area rape cases first started, we were kind of as we looked back on it,

it was kind of like being in the dark ages. You know, we didn't have cell phone officers had to

stop at payphones or they would stop at a restaurant or a donut shop and use a phone to be able to

call headquarters. We had like walkie talkies. We didn't even have radios and all of the cars. So

it was a time we didn't have computer things were coming over on on teletype. We typed up reports

on an old standard typewriter. We were absolutely thrilled when we were finally able to get an

electric typewriter to do our reports on the record searches that we did. You know, they were in

all the big tumblers where you push them, you know, machine and you take out ID cards and
