0:24.2	Is fascism what they would employ if there were no barriers or opposition or obstacles?
0:31.6	So let's explore this a little bit and think it through.
0:35.0	And where I end up coming down is that the modern Republican party is a fascistic authoritarian

0:46.5	But part of the reason why they are not actually fascist is that there is opposition in the

0:53.4	What are we talking about when we talk about fascism?
0:57.0	Fascism is a far right authoritarian political ideology, which often includes dictatorial
1:04.8	power, forcible suppression of opposition and very strongly regimented society and a

1:16.2	Now some of these things might not sound like the rhetoric of the Republican party with

1:23.1	The Republican party is all about freedom and liberty.
1:25.2	Yes, the rhetoric is, but are they actually like that when it comes to policy?
1:29.6	So we're going to talk about that.
1:30.7	What is the Republican party platform and policy versus fascism or fascistic authoritarianism?
1:39.3	Because it is true that it used to be the case that the Republican party was known for
1:45.9	conservative values actually being for small government.
1:50.6	Promoting truly free market capitalism or something close to it.
1:54.9	But that is not at all what the modern Republican party, particularly under mega-Trumpism has
