I'm Carly Waisal, and I hope that

for all of those who did celebrate, not everybody does, but for all of those who did celebrate Mother's Day, I hope it went all right. I have done something in my household where I have just decided that Mother's Day is a holiday where we go to get high tea. I don't know why. That's not a traditional Mother's Day breakfast thing. I think usually you just go and get like

eggs. We went to a traditional Mother's Day breakfast thing.

I think usually you just go and get like eggs. We went to a buffet a lot when I was younger. Or you just like, you know, like cook breakfast at home. But no, I'm like, I don't know what it is, but I'm like, Mother's Day means high tea. Mother's Day means scones and cream. I don't know why. I'm not British. Like, who do I think I am?

And yet, I've started the tradition,

and Pearl and I love it, why. I'm not British. Like, who do I think I am? And yet,

I've started the tradition and, uh, Pearl and I love it and that's all the matters. That's really

all that matters to me. Now, this week is going to be so fun because my colleague, Todd Martins,

is back on the podcast. And just having Todd for an hour to talk is such a delight because Todd is so smart.

And yet he is a friend. And so he lets me yell at him. And it's just absolutely wonderful.

Beyond that, I am traveling a bunch in the next few weeks. I have a lot of exciting stories

to bring you. I cannot wait for it. I hope you all

are coping with the fact that it is mid-May. It is mid-May somehow and it's kind of making me ill. I don't. Where did March and April go? I think they were stolen from us like the years of COVID. They're just gone. They're just gone. Somebody was playing with a time turner and they just goofed on us. Like, I don't know what happened, but it is somehow mid-May.

Like, school is getting out soon.

2026. We're almost heavy there's 2026, but we are in it together, and we are going to laugh and have as

much fun as possible while also ignoring the very rapid passing of time. Um, I don't think I have any other

house-pee stuff, but yeah, I've been preparing a few episodes for you. They're going to be fun, and this one is truly at the top of the list. It's amazing. Have so much fun.
