Hi Gina, I would like to know how to curtail my anxiety

when it comes to my insomnia.

I had anxiety which caused insomnia. I had anxiety which caused insomnia. Now the insomnia is causing anxiety. It's a life of its own. I almost have developed a phobia over the insomnia, the fear of not sleeping and how it's going to affect my life.

And often when I lay down I have panic attacks for fear of not sleeping which I know increases the

hormones and the cortisol and the panic which makes it impossible to sleep.

Debbie, thank you so much for sharing your struggle. You're not alone. Insomnia and anxiety go hand in hand and not everybody struggles with it but many many people do so thank you for sharing

also. I want to share some thoughts that she brought up. She said originally anxiety caused her to have sleep challenges

or difficulties or insomnia and now it feels to her as if the insomnia is causing her anxiety. So once again

you can see how so many things in our lives with anxiety go in this endless loop.

And so what we want to do is interrupt the loop,

whether it is from being afraid of being afraid, being afraid of a health issue,

being afraid of an elevator, being sleeping fuels the fire.
