I've talked about hand-cuffing running backs a lot on this show.

Research I've done shows that handcuffs rarely, rarely pan out.

But admittedly, having discussions about hand-cuffing running backs is kind of tough because

everyone has a different definition for what a hand-cuff actually is.

Like for example, Karim Hunt to me, and I think this is logical, but he's not Nick Chubb's

hand-cuff.

A hand-cuff to me is someone who's a relevant in fantasy football without an injury to their

starter.

That starter is typically or should be a stud, or a top 12 running back.

That's at least the definition that I used when I researched the topic and found that

the hit rate for hand-cuffs is just really really bad.

We actually rarely get the hand-cuff right, but on top of that, when they are called upon,

they typically don't perform very well at all.

I do think there are exceptions to that rule.

There are a couple players like Tony Pollard, Chase Edmonds, Alex Intermandeson and Latavius

Murray, who probably won't have much standalone value this year.

At least in regular redraft leagues, but they'd become really interesting fantasy assets
