Today we are talking to Mitch Lavender, longtime Beamaw listener and group facilitator, and now lead campus minister in Cincinnati with us at impact, about his experiences with the community, dealing with the challenges of diversity and how that can lead to

transition with family, friends, and faith.

Mitch, welcome to the show.

Good to be here.

I am so excited that you're here for so many reasons. We've had a chance to talk. I think the first time we talked was probably 2019, maybe 2020.

That's about right.

It's been quite a while and when you ended up coming on Staff at Impact,

I was just overjoyed because I just love your heart for people.

I love how you have interacted with people that I've seen on the Bayhoss Slack and like the way you care for people. I'm like this is this is such a great guy to have on our team and so I'm even more excited that we get to share a little bit about you with everybody else listening.

excited and was also very joyful and excited to become a part of the impact team too.

So I'm just happy to be here man. And I don't know if you want to share any like personal

details about who you are you know some little sprinkles of family or hobbies or

anything that would kind of give people a more colorful picture of who you are besides

the little thing that I just read.

Sure. I am into a few different types of hobbies. My wife and not her name's Hope. She's awesome. We love to rock climb.

We love all things outdoors so that could be hiking, could be camping.

I'm also really into mechanics.
