Today we have Big Buck Killer Phil Kramer on the line and the last time we had talked.

I was about to head to Mexico for our hunts and still had been down scouting and was headed pretty quickly there for his hunts there in January for Kosdear and so we're going to do a little recap and see how

Phil did and pick into that brain of his.

Phil, how you doing?

I'm doing really good Jay thank you. You bet I don't

know about that whole big buck killer thing but give her a shot when I can. You know

this year I guess one of the things we have to look forward to is we're both

turkey hunters until we've got the spring you know here in Arizona it feels like

spring's already here and it feels like we never had a winter this year.

But it's kind of hard to swallow the fact that we've got to wait 11 more months for Tuesday or hunting again down in Mexico down there in the

rut. But how was it? Last time we talked you were going to be heading down pretty soon and you had some high

hopes had been running cameras and yeah how did it go? Well it was a different type of year than what we've experienced in the past.

And you're absolutely right.

I had a bunch of high hopes and expectations and just, you visions of monster bucks running around all

over the place and rutting like crazy and we got down there we actually made a number of trips but we got down there first in January there after going down there first in January there after going down in December and scouting and setting some more cameras and I think we crossed the border around the 12th somewhere in there and 13th maybe but we got down and it was extremely hot still.

What were your 10?

They were 91 a day.

It was scorching hot and they were only dropping down into the high

40s at night for the most part the later we we were there it started to cool off a

few more degrees and started getting down into the low 40s at night

but it was still getting up into the low 80s during the day so it uh it was hot and
