Hello there, friend. I sure hope you're doing well, and thank you for joining me for another

encouraging word. It can be difficult to tune out the negative voices around us. It can be difficult

to tune out the negative voices within our own heads.

If you've been listening to the podcast for a while, you know that we just finished a bunch of

episodes about that very topic. Thankfully, God has given us His Word and His Holy Spirit. He has given

us promises, just as he gave Joshua and the Israelites to help us,

to guide us, and to encourage us to heed his voice.

Our dog ran away last Sunday.

Yeah, dog lovers of the world join with me in a collective groan.

A name had tipped me off to a great place for dogs to romp and run.

So I told Andy my dog all about it.

Andy, I said, I know of a dog's dream come true.

It's a creek bed with a wide meadow.

No cars, no leashes, no fences, nothing but stuff to sniff,

and trees too wet, and crevices to explore.

He looked up at me and he said, oh, Master Max, you put the wow and bow wow.

That sounds to me like the doggy version of glory days. I said, indeed it is. It is a

canine promised land. But let me warn you, you must stay close to me. This pasture is several

miles from our house. And if you wonder off, you may not be

able to find your way home. And let me warn you, deer will entice. Rabbits will lure. There may even

be a seductive poodle on the path. Remain on high alert.
