And thank you for joining today's ADHD Experts Presentation titled, What Is Your Child's

Sensory Profile, Strategies for Supporting Children with ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder.

Sensory Processing Disorder, or SPD, is a condition that affects how the brain responds to information

from the senses, all eight of them.

Children with SPD may be sensitive to and overwhelmed by certain sounds, smells, textures,

foods, environments, and the like.

It may also be under-responsive to these inputs.

No matter how SPD manifests, parents need a strong understanding of their child's unique

sensory needs, as well as the tools to support those needs.

practical strategies to support your child's sensory systems and facilitate self-regulation

over time.

Candice is an occupational therapist who has served children and families for the past

nine years, working in schools, clinics, and homes.

She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in occupational therapy.

Candice has also been trained in sensory processing, feeding and eating, motor development,

executive functioning, and visual processing.
