Deer seasons rapidly approaching right around the corner all over the country things are

kicking off as we speak in some states others are just one or two weeks out here in michigan we're

an october first opener and by october first or that first week of october first pretty much

everybody's up and running so we're in we're in we're on deck

that's essentially what's up we're on deck we're getting ready to walk in and so we have a fantastic

episode for you here this week i'm joined by my friend tony van asht. And if you don't know of Tony, he is,

he's something else. Tony spends an incredible amount of time in the woods. He's super detailed.

And he's just like at another level at getting on big deer. I mean, when at another level he some may even say that tony is in a league of his own and i mean that i've watched this guy for a few years now from a distance and i'm just like shocked all the time at how many big deer he gets on and is around.

He's a big proponent of utilizing scrapes to locate deer.

And I really didn't know a whole lot about how he hunts.

So this was a fantastic opportunity for me to essentially interview him about his process and theories.

And we kind of cover the gambit.

We spent a lot of time talking about wind, thermals, topography, overall strategy for entry and exit.

And just like hunting different age classes of deer like getting into that you know

three to five year old deer and then some of those real special like five plus you i mean
