So today's guest is Denny Burke, the author of a new book called Mere Complementarianism,

Male and Female in the Image of God. I wanted to have this conversation with

Denny because he is a perfect person to talk about all of these topics with. He's the professor

of biblical studies at Boyce College, and he serves as the associate pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church

and is president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. So in today's episode,

we are going to talk about common questions that surround the egalitarian, complementarian debate,

how what the Bible says works itself out in the practical, which is kind of a complicated

question, like, is it okay for a woman to have a podcast? Is it okay for a woman to go on a

church-sanctioned podcast? Is it okay for a woman to go on a church-sanctioned podcast whose

intended goal is to exposit the Sunday sermon? I mean, it gets complicated, but we're going to talk

about the recent controversy also over Al Mueller's proposed amendment for the SBC to tighten up their stance on women preaching in Sunday services.
