Did you miss me?

I did take a bit of a hiatus throughout the holidays and into January, but I'm back.

And I'm so glad to be back.

This is the Sister Circle podcast, and I'm your host, Crystal Evans Hurst.

Once a week, I share a solo episode with you, and the other time during the week,

I share an interview with a friend.

I open up the circle and invite a sister or a brother to join me.

So we can know we're not alone, so we can be encouraged,

and so we can all every now and then enjoy a little bit of fun and

foolery. Can I be honest though and tell you that this year, 2023, did not start out feeling

in order? I mean, the year just kind of came in like a flood and shot out like a shotgun.

The way the holiday felt with the first being on a Sunday and the second being on a Monday,

it just felt like I didn't have a chance to get myself together.

The year started so fast after the end of 2022, and to be honest, even on hiatus,

it seemed like all I could do was to catch my breath and recover.

I did start out feeling totally behind.

But if you know me, you know I reject feelings of being behind.

Why? Because I believe that every day is day one.

That simply means that today is the best day to begin choosing how you want to live the days to come.

So if you're starting consciously choosing today, you are winning.
