I am just so grateful for the people who watch and listen to this podcast. It is 6.55 in the morning, trying to get this recorded

before the jackhammer starts, probably at about 8 o'clock in the morning. So I'm trying to get it done,

we got about an hour. Let's jump in. I want to start today with a correction

actually. The other day I said the Raiders won the Super Bowl in 2002. That's not

true. I don't know what I was thinking.

The Raiders did go to the Super Bowl in 2002.

However, they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were actually coached at the time

by John Gruden. It's a crazy story in 2001. John Gruden coached the Raiders and then he was actually traded and yes coaches can

get traded. I don't I think a lot of people don't even know that. He got

traded at Tampa and he replaced Tony Dungy by the way Tony Dungy who went on to

into Super Bowl Peyton Manning and Indian. Tony Dungy was fired by Tampa after the 2001 season.

But then it gets really crazy because the very next year,

John Gruden's very first year coaching in Tampa. He beat the team that traded him away in the

Super Bowl. So in other words the Raiders traded away their head coach John Gruden

and already a crazy move. And then 11 months later after trading him away

They lost to him in the Super Bowl. That's a it's one of those things where I wish I've been broadcasting back then

Would have been so fun to cover that.

Like that story, that's as compelling as Brady versus Bellachick playing each other years later.
