Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's Wednesday night 9 p.m. I'm your host, Ephraim Gowbrough, joined by my dear colleagues and friends. Rabbi Philip Moskowitz and Rabbi Joshua Brody. And welcome to another

Behind the bea behind the bema. We begin this night with a sober, sober sense and attitude. We join the rest of our

our sacred country in praying for the welfare

of our country. What happened today in our capital, though we are an apolitical show,

this is not a political issue. This is simply not only a good American, but a good person.

Decent people everywhere should be deeply, deeply disturbed, defended, scared, concerned by the

vicious attack on our democracy in our capital.

This was not only a symbolic attack on a democracy and its process, this was an actual

attack.

Life was lost and others could have been.

I know that the daughter-in-law of one of our members who works on Capitol Hill was in an

office when this attack occurred and had to hide under a desk, was escorted out by security.

Very scary for her in-laws in our community.

I was in touch with our congressman, who's a dear friend of all of ours and of Arshul, a member of Arshul, and obviously very concerning, very rattling day.
