what did you find out about the taping capabilities of that room?

It's inoperable. Didn't work.

He recanted and said that he had lied, that yes, he had seen Jennifer before he got there.

My friend Dave Holden spoke from the grave Monday during the retrial of Stanley Liggins.

Dave was a good cop and a good friend.

And the Jennifer Lewis' death affected him greatly.

I remember City and McGuire's and Irish Bar in Davenport, Iowa, back in 1993.

It was well past midnight. He was drinking a beer and I was sipping my Diet Coke. Tears were

welling in his eyes. I thought of this tough detective sitting across the high top table from me, still greatly affected by this

tragedy. We were talking about Jennifer, Stanley, and the other girls he is alleged to have abused.

Three years had passed since the two of us had stood over that poor child's burning body,

but still neither of us is quite the same. My friend

Dave Holden died in 2009. But I thought of him Monday as an actor read Dave's testimony from

an earlier trial into the record. Did you conduct an interview? Is the better way to put it?
