Proverbs chapter 11 verse 30 says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life

and whoever captures souls is wise. I think about my life like I want the fruit of my life to be like a tree of life to people around me.

I think about the people in my sphere of influence, my wife, my kids, my coworkers,

the people I exercise alongside on a daily basis, the people who I interact

with regularly.

I want my life to be like a tree of life to those around me in the church.

I want to be a blessing to the people around me.

This is the fruit of the righteous life.

It's like a tree of life to the people around them and then

specifically when it uses this phrase whoever captures souls is wise. Some

translations say whoever wins souls is wise. The picture is a life that so emanates the righteousness

of God, the goodness of God, the grace of God, the kindness of God in a way that causes souls, the depth of people

around you to be drawn to God.

Oh, I think about Matthew 5, this picture of being salt and light in the world in such

a way that when people see your life, they give glory to God in heaven. So let's pray for this in our lives.

God, we pray that this would be the fruit of our lives. We would be like a tree of life to the people around us that we would be life giving to the people around us

That you would help us to be a blessing to our friends, family, coworkers, neighbors. We pray that the fruit of our lives

would be blessing in their lives because of their interaction with us. God may that be so in such a way that hits at the core of who there are,

that their souls are drawn to you.

To you, oh God, we want people to be drawn to you.

We pray that you would help us to live in such a way
